About the application

Drillo provides micro-drills for spoken French, Italian and Dutch: single-tap cards with spaced repetition, a conjugation engine covering every tense, grammar from A1 to C1, serialised stories, two-voice dialogues, vocabulary that always carries its article, phrases, numbers by ear, and a hands-free Commute mode that can be used with the screen locked.

The application works entirely offline. It has no accounts, no advertising and no streaks.

Frequently asked questions

Does the application require an internet connection?

No. All content, exercises and speech run on the device. The application establishes no network connections, and the Android edition is published without the INTERNET permission.

Is an account required?

No. There is no registration and nothing to sign in to. No personal data is collected; see the Privacy Policy.

Why does the "Say it" exercise request microphone access?

To hear the phrase you pronounce and evaluate it. The permission is optional and may be declined or revoked at any time; every other part of the application remains available. Audio is passed to the speech-recognition service built into your operating system and is never stored by the application. This is described in full in section 5.1 of the Privacy Policy.

How is progress for a language reset?

Open Settings and select "Start over from zero". This erases the stored progress for the language currently selected. Uninstalling the application removes all of its data from the device.

Has the learning content been reviewed by native speakers?

Not yet. The material is a carefully constructed draft and review is ongoing. If you encounter a phrase that a native speaker would not use, please report it to the address above; such reports are the most effective way in which the content improves.

Does the application contain purchases or subscriptions?

No. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions or advertisements.
